Critical opinions: Aurelian Zisu's poetry is the testimony of a spiritual age, in which the creative self explores a new type of tragic with which the reader can easily empathize because of the lyricism, the musicality of the lines that become memorable and through the narrative sequencing of some poems. In the poetry of Aurelian Zisu, we encounter a Shakespearean tragedy in intensity, detached as if from Poe through the atmosphere, Kafkaian through the serene absurdity and Ciorani through the apocalyptic turmoil that the lyrical self projects in the various "characters". The volume "Asylum" continues the personal micro-epic started in "My nights, nights..." in which the main hero is my own self who has reached a moment of existential turning point where life is no longer life, death is no longer death and poetry is no longer just poetry, but is a cry in the wilderness, it is lonely blood, it is enchanted pain, it is, finally, healing of desnă dejdii.
