Crisula Ștefă nescu is a graduate of the Faculty of Philology of the University of Bucharest. In 1982 he emigrated to Germany and worked at the "Europa Liberă" radio station; first a researcher-analyst within the "Research Institute of Free Europe" and, from 1992, in the Department of Broadcasting, as editor of the cultural program "Controversies-Confluences East-West". Since 1995, when the radio station moved to Prague, she lives with her husband, the writer Andi Stefanescu, in a Bavarian village near Munich. Crisula Ștefă nescu has published thirty books.
