Maria-Liliana Bucur was born in Bucharest, but she lived the first ten springs in the commune of Bîrca, a Dolje locality made famous by a great poet, where everyone knows everyone, and mysteries unfold at the corner of the street. He spent his vacations with his grandparents, at Cabana Căldărusani near Bucharest, the place where he discovered that silence can hide the most fascinating stories. For over three decades she has been teaching mathematics at the University of Craiova, but, between two theorems, she has always remained fascinated by literature and its riddles. "If mathematics taught me to ask questions and look for solutions, literature taught me to gracefully go beyond logic.
