The prose, written with aplomb that does not avoid slang sounds, have shocking endings, either in a comic key, the effect of the ironic game, or in the atrociously tragic register. Dodo Niţă appeals to a whole heritage of obsessive phantasms (excellently valued in the story "White Nights of Leningrad", put under the tutelary sign of Mihail Bulgakov), dreams, recurring situations specific to the recollection of childhood ("Dealu Turcesii"), where the recovery of the ancestral-folkloric background reaches notable lyrical intensities. Without overturning the relationships between reality and fiction, Dodo Niţă's prose, honest and meaningful, a guarantee of an enjoyable reading, stubbornly preserves a certain ingenuity of the literary act.
