About this book

It remains undisputed that between the Romanian language and the Latin language there are notable kinships both at the level of the lexicon and at the level of grammatical structures, a fact that encouraged the hypothesis of the Latin origin of the Romanian language. In reality, these kinships come from a common proto-Indo-European background that became consonant at the time of the conquest of Dacia by the Romans (in the conquered territory!) and not from the "Latinization" or "disappearance" of the Dacian language. This was a different language (found in current Romanian!), but with a high degree of compatibility/similarity with Latin. This explains the "Latinization" of extensive Dacian territories never conquered by the Romans.
