The work is a study of rural geography, which is placed in the category of modern approaches, with theoretical applicability, but especially practical, being a useful tool in the process of regional and local development. The theme of the work is part of the tradition of the geographical school at the University of Bucharest, regarding the study of rural space, a concern known and appreciated on a national and international level, through the support and publication of doctoral theses, through scientific contributions published in prestigious profile magazines or reference works of Romanian geography.
