"We note three key elements specific to Liliana Hinoveanu's lyrical universe: the existence of thresholds, the need to overcome them and the chromatic representation of reality. The poetic voice could be projected as a color palette with its own hermeneutic: blue inhibits and pink is "better". The nuances between these two colors in the poem Gara Noiembrie represent challenges that the lyrical self must overcome: "when all the colors will become thresholds/ that I can cross alone" (Thresholds). What lies between blue, often perceived as a color of enlightenment, and pink, the recognized state of "better", can be understood as self-becoming." Daniela Micu
