The way this book is composed speaks for itself about the fact that identity is exactly what differentiates us from one another, from each other. Each individual of the human species perceives, thinks, externalizes, makes intelligible and says this in his own way, and we can only substitute our identities in cases of individual, social or political pathology. That is why, finally, one cannot meaningfully talk about a type of man, be it new or old, but only about different people, even if a part of the "universal soul" works in all of them and at some point even awakens. If self-definition can be a goal of existence only for artists or original thinkers gifted to do so, self-discovery and in the happiest case identification with a higher being or idea is a tendency or at least a temptation sooner or later every individual man realizes.
