Lecţiile filmului. Filmul românesc în context mondial

The film Lessons volume, the 80th book of the writer and filmmaker Grid Modorcea, aims to present the film schools of the world through their latest achievements, from which we will draw lessons, from which we will see what is the lesson they propose to humanity. The author's basic idea was to look at the Romanian film in a world context, as in a previous book he looked at it in a European context. The main Romanian cinematographic events and phenomena were analyzed, all the trends and directions that are manifested in the current landscape of the national film. As never before, Romanian filmmakers stay outside more than in the country, they are at home at dozens of international, European or world festivals, starting with the Cannes festival. In many "lessons" of the book, Grid Modorcea often made references to the Romanian film, he looked at these "lessons" as a mirror facing the local cinema. After a large chapter dedicated to Romanian film, the scope was given to world film, the lessons it offers us, the global context in which Romanian film also moves. The author approached all the cinematographic lessons of the world, from A to Z, based on a simple criterion: up-to-date productions. All these lessons, together, are like some alternative textbooks, from which, in the end, we will try to draw a general conclusion. With certainty, however, the readers of this unique book in the Romanian critical landscape will choose a set of mini-novels, over 300 cinematic stories, one more interesting than the other. The story is the most pleasant way of transmitting ideas, parables, teachings.
