Mărgele de sticlă

The volume is intended to be a synthesis of a publishing activity of over 6 years, of almost exclusive concerns with German-language literature in Europe. It is the gathering of different approaches, on various interpretative levels, close to the common denominator which is the desire to familiarize the public with German-language literature. Especially the southern area of ​​Romania, acutely lacking a direct German influence, feels such a volume, in which to concentrate studies published over time in magazines such as Mozaicul, Scrisul Românesc, Revista de marți, Argos, LAMA, Pasager, etc. The spectrum addressed would be an extremely generous one: from Heinrich Böll, Franz Kafka, Wolfgang Borchert, Max Frisch, to Werner Schwab, Günter Grass, Elfriede Jelinek, Paula Köhlmeier, Christine Langer, Michael Krüger, Felix Mitterer, etc. Another part would be made up of studies dedicated to German-language literature from the extensive territory of Romania: from Bucovina writers who went through the experience of Nazi camps (Paul Celan, Rose Ausländer, Immanuel Weissglas, Alfred Margul-Sperber, Isak Weissglas, Klara Schächter, Mirijam Korber), to current authors resident in Germany for many years, real personalities on the European level (Herta Müller, Richard Wagner, William Totok, Helmuth Frauendorfer, Franz Hodjak, Claus Stephani, Cătălin Dorian Florescu, Werner Söllner or the missing: Rolf Bossert, Anemone Latzina). This "collage", this "mix" of German-language literary graft represents a useful exercise of orientation towards another cultural space, the opening, at least at the reception level, towards a territory that has always known how to offer directions for development.
