About this book
Virgil Mazilescu reinvented poetry in the great vicinity of loneliness, of sleep and perhaps of feelings: "you are sleeping my love. I am alone I invented poetry and I have no heart". He invented poetry in the contemporaneity of great poets, such as Nichita Stănescu, Marin Sorescu, Mircea Ivănescu, Gellu Naum, Leonid Dimov. He was never dreamlike nor surrealist, nor was he neomodernist or postmodernist. Thin and transparent membranes will always keep him on the most lucid part of the dream and he will descend "into the depths of the barren lands" as many times as necessary for the creation of the realities spoken later in the poem. Gabriel Nedelea
