About this book

Small poems in a trilingual pocket book Haiku poetry is a small illumination in the daily routine, which comforts and gives meaning to existence. The structure of the volume "Clocks in the clouds" follows the four seasons, to which the author Ramona Bădescu added a fifth, a discreet one, where each of us finds ourselves, when we feel that we are lost in the daily whirlwind. The preface is signed by Petrişor Militaru, who notes about the author: In Ramona Bădescu's poetry, human nature intertwines with the surrounding nature, the soul of nature delights the soul of the poetess, and it is precisely this wonder, delight, charm and joy that these poems want to convey to us through the force of lyrical evocation and through the music of oriental poetic rhythms. The book "Clocks in the clouds" is trilingual, being translated, in English, by Ioana Dragu and, in French, by Elena Gavrilă. The image on the cover is made delicately, in watercolor, by Elida Nikolov, plastic artist. The volume can support those who want to discover haiku, but also students and teachers interested in new, creative projects. Ramona Bădescu debuted with poems in the magazine "Convorbiri literare" from Ia and published articles and poetry in periodicals ("Mozaicul", "Christian Citadel") and the volume of interviews "Where is your joy, man of God?". She is the winner of the first prize of the "Traian Demetrescu" National Poetry Contest (2001) and a mention at the same contest (2003). He also published the volumes "Cherry blossom" (2019) and "Povești saltărețe" (2020) at the "Aius" publishing house and supports creativity and general culture workshops for children, on the Ateliere online platform. Currently, he is part of the Romanian Haiku group from Bucharest and is a founding member of the Craiova Haiku Club, organized bimonthly by the Dolj "Alexandru și Aristia" Aman County Library.
