Poeme pentru Daiana

After the two volumes titled Poems of Love and Between Mirrors, both printed at the Aius Publishing House, Camil Poenaru (October 6, 1927 - June 25, 1999) returns to the attention of readers with the volume Poems for Daiana, a new volume of love poems doubled, in a very emotional way, by their epistolary echoes. In short, the essential message of Camil Poenaru's poems refers to the fact that love is, first of all, a fundamental experience for the inner experience of any human being and, last but not least, an earth-shattering experience that shakes the peace of mind of any mortal and leaves deep imprints in his heart, so that from the moment he fell in love his life is no longer the same. In what sense is it no longer the same? The present poems bear witness to this qualitative difference on an affective level and to this intensity of the soul's feelings. Once more, the volume Poems for Daiana (with all the emotional letters that accompany these lyrical statements) reminds us this spring that poetry is the "forbidden" fruit of platonic love, unfulfilled in concrete terms, but all the more profound and fruitful in artistic terms!
