Poveşti cu vrăji şi vrăjitoare

The Magic and Witch Stories book from the "Bag of Stories" Collection includes four witch stories, accompanied by attractive and funny illustrations. In the first story, entitled Vrăjitoarea iernii, the baboon from Canociara is tricked by Primetto through a ruse and loses her enchanted comb with which she used to dry the plants and make the animals no longer fertile. The following story, Pierino Pierone and the witch, is part of Italian folklore and includes the adventures of a disobedient child who does not allow himself to be fooled by the evil witch. The third story, The Old Witch by the Brothers Grimm, reminds children how important it is to listen to their parents' advice, so as not to make mistakes that cannot be corrected afterwards. The last story, The Witch's Fish Box by Hans Christian Andersen, tells us the adventures of a soldier who meets an old witch, and, using the information given by the mistress, gets his hands on an enchanted box with which he manages to escape the hangman and marry the king's wonderful daughter.
