Today we are facing a very serious epidemic, namely: "EBOLA viral disease" which requires us to take a series of measures to prevent the reception of this disease, namely the use of medicinal plants from the spontaneous and cultivated flora of Romania. Over the centuries, folk medicine has accumulated rich knowledge about diseases and their cure with herbal remedies. Moreover, both in rational medicine (iatrosophy), from which scientific medicine developed, and in folk medicine, on which it was based, plants were the main remedies. Scientific medicine flourished together with botany, both cultivated by the botanist doctors of antiquity.
