Sufletul al doilea

Daniela Micu writes a playful and refined poem, in which the sensory is filtered through the prism of the intellectual. Small numerological tics are distilled, metaphorically, into splendid islands of meanings, while strange characters, with Dimovian echoes, are recontextualized to fluidize a universe that refuses any other definition than the oblique one, offered by the poetic language of surrealist extraction. We have, in this debut volume, not only the surprise of discovering an authentic voice, but also the joy of identifying a verbal register on the way to becoming fully autonomous. Cătălin Ghiţă Daniela Micu's poetry appears to me to be an unusual ally of the word through the new breath brought to the verse. It is, above all, an intimate organization of an inner bestiary, whose boundaries the poet thins through an open linguistic embrace. The second soul is an archetypal overturning of the universe, from the inside out, and, at the same time, its reconfiguration through what Daniela Micu calls the "reserve word". Luiza Mitu
