Teoria ştiinţei în filosofia lui Auguste Comte

The present volume, The Theory of Science in the Philosophy of Auguste Comte (La Théorie du savoire dans la philosophie d'Auguste Comte) appeared in 1928 at the Félix Alcan Bookstore in Paris. This work of the philosopher Mihai Uţă (1902-1964) was, in fact, his main doctoral thesis in philosophy defended at the University of Strasbourg, the coordinating professor being the French epistemologist Edmond Goblot, professor of History of Science and Philosophy at the University of Lyon. As a subsidiary, Mihai Uţă also defended, as was typical of the time, a secondary doctoral thesis, La Lois des trois etats dans la philosophie d'Auguste Comte, also published in 1928. Philosophy based on method and in the positive spirit has, in Mihai Uţă's opinion, two great advantages.
