Aius 20. File din istoria noastră

Nicolae Marinescu recalls in a testimonial book the winding evolution of the Aius Publishing House from a simple commercial company to an enterprise that "integrates into the community's efforts to be present in the dialogue with European values". From the 24 chapters, as many as the volume includes, we learn the history of the Craiova publishing house from the perspective of the one who founded it and gave it the name of the god of the word from Romanian mythology, the author making us witnesses to the tragicomics of the pre- and post-December Romanian society with its memorable events "that will not enter any history book". A special place is occupied by the spiritual mentors, Adrian Marino and Ion Zamfirescu, who appear as moral and spiritual supporters of this effort to achieve an act of culture, that is why the volume also includes an original epistolary exchange between the two men of culture and the Aius publishing house. It is also significant that in the Addenda we find a catalog of the titles published by the publishing house from 1991 to 2011, as well as an album with photos that confirm and complete the events in the history of the publishing house. Aius 20... is a book that reveals the stages and metamorphoses of building a publishing house where two generations with different visions have successfully collaborated, but united for a unique purpose - a valuable cultural act.
