In the modern history of the old kingdom, the political life was characterized by the alternation at the leadership of Romania of two political parties: the Conservative Party and the Liberal Party, a fact that ensured a certain stability of the Romanian society. As the Conservative Party disappeared from the scene of Romanian political life after 1922, few researchers focused specifically on its history, and when they did they distorted the historical truth by emphasizing the negative sides.
