Drogurile în societatea modernă

The paper opens with a series of introductory considerations regarding the legal and general framework established to combat illicit drug trafficking and consumption and an analysis of the crimes contained in law 143/2000, followed by other provisions (some special aggravating circumstances provided for by law no. 143/2000, the reason for non-punishment, specific procedural aspects, measures against illicit drug consumption and proposals for improving the legislative framework on drugs). At the same time, the author dwells on other relevant aspects such as the activities of search, processing, analysis and valorization of information; computer surveillance in anti-drug actions; institutions with responsibilities related to the provision of illicit drug use or institutions with responsibilities related to the provision and combating of illicit drug use and the treatment of drug addicts, without neglecting the international regulations to which Romania has adhered, the prevention of illicit drug trafficking and consumption or the psychological consequences of drug addiction.
