The world of the cinema, still perceived as an external one by the spectator, will become a purely internal one, in which he, as a demiurge, will be able to make the law or, on the contrary, will want to play the role of a deus otiosus, like a Merovingian king bored with his own power. The moviegoer of the future will relate to a film in the same way that we relate to our own dreams, and today's cinema experience will become a thrilling but essentially solipsistic trip through the symbolic shadows of the brain.
