About this book
The writer Ion Caraion (the literary pseudonym of Stelian Diaconescu), along with Geo Dumitrescu, Constant Tonegaru, Radu Stanca, Ben Corlaciu, Ştefan Augustin Doinaş, etc., is part of the writers of the spiritual moment of 1945-1946. Through the present study, Aurelian Zisu monographs all the volumes of essays (Duelul cu crini (1972), Enigmatica noblețe (1974), Pălărierul silabelor (1976), Journal I (1980), Journal II (1998), Ultima bolgie – Diary (1998), Comrade Hitler’s Insects or Munch’s Scream (1982) and prose (memorialistic, portraitist, prose) of the diary type, proper prose) of the writer Ion Caraion. The essays, which were opposed to the contemporary critical discourse, triggered the conflict with the generation of the 60s by their appearance, but reread as a prose of the fragmentary (reviews, studies, pamphlets, testimonies, records, portraits, pages of intimate jurlan, aphorisms, etc.) will certainly attract the attention of the postmodernists of today. The second monographic study follows volume I, Poezia lui Ion Caraion, published by Aius Publishing House in 2010.
