Dr. phil. Roxana-Andreea Ghiță, born in 1976, lecturer in modern German literature at the Faculty of Philology at the University of Craiova, Romania. Research focus: production aesthetics, theories of imagination in the 19th and 20th centuries, representations of the past in German and Romanian literature after 1989. Most important publications: Gaston Bachelard. La séduction du po(ï)étique (2005), Darurile zeiței Amaterasu (2008, together with Cătălin Ghiță), Poetica şi poietica Revoluţiei. De la romantismul German la 1989 în romanul contemporary din România şi Germania (2013). She has also published numerous essays on a range of topics and authors from Novalis to Bernhard Schlink and Mircea Cărtărescu in Romanian and international journals and anthologies.
