About this book

The poem Malvinas by Mario Sampaolesi, published in a bilingual Spanish-Romanian edition (with the Romanian translation signed by Geo Constantinescu) at the Aius Publishing House, Craiova, 2010, has as its starting point the historical reality of the war between Argentina and Great Britain, which took place between April and June 1982, the conflict of which was the return of the Falkland Islands, located in the east of Argentina, from English possession to the homeland mother. Mario Sampaolesi manages to bring his reader closer to him by sensitizing him, turning him into the soldier on the battlefield. Its power to disturb the lecturer to the deepest recesses of the soul is truly overwhelming, because, despite the fact that the latter does not wage the physical war, he lives it in the plane of ideas, of principles. Basically, it's the same struggle of the ego with destiny, in which you don't know who will triumph in the end. Irina Simanschi
