This new volume distinguishes the main directions through which such a presence was built and consolidated: Marin Sorescu's correspondence with personalities of the literary world abroad, echoes of his participation in cultural events through articles published in specialized foreign press and the promotion of the work through translations into foreign languages. (...) The current editorial endeavor comes to illuminate from important angles the portrait of a writer whose work justified the demanding critic, the academician Eugen Simion, to say about Marin Sorescu: "I think he had a genius." The numerous volumes published after the writer's immortalization on December 8, 1996, as well as the rich posthumous exegesis prove the interest and appreciation he enjoys in his country and in the world. Along with these, letters from abroad, press articles, records of translations can be arguments for the recognition of the dimension of a European writer, able to represent his country, his people and his language.
