About this book
Beyond the decoupage technique, in Maria Dinu's poems we can see a method of surrealist collage, strongly symbolized: this is what happens in the Gallery with wild vine, for example. In addition to the sophisticated and perfectly functional technique, the delicacy and fluid, non-verbal communication, transmitted through energies and candid mystifications, stand out. A kind of prelude takes place in each poem that allusively passes by the deed and deviates centrifugally towards the spiritosphere. If animality did not exist, however, the energy of words would be urgently exhausted. Not the case here. The vital force is contained and invested in mirrors and dissections. Delimitation is the preferred activity in the volume and, in order not to stiffen the poetic landscape, a sharp, long-practiced sense of perspective intervenes. The poetics of these somewhat geometrized texts resounds in the intentions of play, in childhood and little tenderness. In addition to feminine poetics, another, Gothic, is discernible, brought by the ravens of the poet Tradem. The enthusiasm of gestures and fantasies stops a step before entering the surreal territory. More interesting for the poet are the incipient alchemies, which only announce appetizing potentialities. It is very difficult, in such conditions, to grasp a specific meaning and direct the reading according to it. It is not for nothing that a text is entitled "transparency from plans", referring to the same geometry in space imprecisely reproduced with the help of the alluvium of the imaginary. Vision and imagination are in constant competition, the intention being to offer landscapes in gradients. In this way, the heat and excitement of adolescence can be tamed more easily. Probably the synthesis of these perfect circles and gelatinous movements are the massive strings of beads - distillation of femininity crystallized by the flow of time. Not a poetics of wisdom, not one of provocative revelations, but one of revelations, of small fantasies behind closed eyes and of metaphorically metaphorized sensations. Nothing should be taken for granted. Reality and the senses seem to have no meaning mirrored as such. The only other chance is for us to dream together with Maria Dinu, in a semi-daily regime, anyway. Felix Nicholas
