About this book

Based on archival documentary material, the press of the time and other sources, as well as a rich bibliography, the book Romanian-Yugoslav military relations in the interwar period (1919-1939) presents Romania's relations with Yugoslavia in the interwar period. The work, structured in five chapters, analyzes the Romanian-Yugoslav political-military relations in the period 1918-1939, which were consistently oriented towards the goal of preserving the independence and sovereignty of the two states, along the lines of stopping possible and viable aggressors, in order to counteract any actions aimed at destabilizing the international political climate. Romania and Yugoslavia campaigned, in this interval, for the conclusion of defensive political and military alliances, alliances that had the role of allowing the achievement of the central objective of their foreign policy, the consolidation of state unity and the preservation of territorial integrity against any possible aggressor.
