Alina Gioroceanu is a lecturer. university Ph.D. at the Department of Romanian Language of the Faculty of Letters, University of Craiova and teaches specialized subjects in undergraduate and master's degree programs: courses and seminars on contemporary Romanian language - syntax, lexicology, morphology, language cultivation. The didactic activity is doubled by the research activity, embodied in books, articles and specialized communications presented at national and international sessions. He is the co-author of the Reverse Dictionary of the Romanian Language & CD-Rom (coordinator Cecilia Capatina), Bucharest, Niculescu Publishing House, 2007. He also published the Syntax of the Romanian Language through Questions and Exercises, Craiova, Universitaria, 2005. Since January 2007, he writes the permanent column dedicated to linguistics, linguistics.RO books for the culture magazine "Mozaicul". Part of the author's doctoral thesis, Greek-Latin Terminology in the current Romanian language, the book includes, in addition to the glossary of Greek and Latin formative elements, a brief presentation of the classical languages. However, the most important part of the work is represented by the list of formative elements of Greek or Latin origin used in current scientific terminology. The list is therefore constituted, in the sense of Romanian linguistics, of compositional elements/pseudo-affixes and affixes (prefixes and suffixes) that have as their first etymon words from classical languages. One of the novelties of this book is the marking of the median position of some formative elements. The book is a plea for classical study, as the Greco-Latin formative model works in today's terminology that continues to call upon the Greek or Latin languages ​​to constitute the scientific infrastructure.
