About this book

Former scholarship holder of the Japanese government, CĂTĂLIN GHĂĂ (b. 18.10.1976) is currently a professor of comparative literature at the University of Craiova. He holds a title of Dr. Habil. from the "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University in Iași (2014), he holds a doctorate in English literature from Tohoku University, Japan (2007) and a doctorate in Romanian literature from the University of Craiova (2003). He edited and published several books of essays, literary criticism and cultural history in Great Britain, Holland, Poland and Romania. The volume "Reception of William Blake in Romania" is a study of the aesthetics of reception and includes three essays ("Preserving a human vision in times of trouble: the reception of William Blake in Romania"; "The "Black Bible" of William Blake as a spectacle of destruction: recent notes on the reception of William Blake in Romania"; "The reception of William Blake in Romania: essential chronology") initially published in Anglo-American academic journals, which thus become accessible to readers in our country.
