Reading the work prepared by Mr. Bitoleanu, I was positively surprised by the perseverance with which he sought to understand and reproduce the intellectual and cultural atmosphere in which Umberto Eco launched most of his main ideas. Mr. Iulian Bitoleanu inquired about the evolution of ideas from the 20th century in Italy and France, but also in the United States, focusing on some new constants, because they were not explicitly present in previous modern thinking.
