Through this series of ARTitudini..., Cătălin Davidescu offers us a comprehensive and convincing picture of those Romanian artistic values ​​that acquire, over time, universal resonances and of the local ones that have the potential of national values. However, the complexity of the present work does not only come from the critical analysis of international artists such as Brâncusi, Țuculescu, Matiss Teutsch or Marcel Iancu or from the original appearance of some of the texts, but also from the concise writing, marked by semantic nuances that the art critic Cătălin Davidescu generates and develops during over three decades of art criticism. In this context, the very reading of this book can become a way to awaken the reader's interest and taste for classical (axiologically speaking) or contemporary art, of a reader capable of digesting the subtlety and playfulness of the concept of "art itudine" that the title of the book puts, on this occasion, into circulation.
