About this book
Following closely the ongoing research projects and works of Mr. Marius Ghica, I am ready to welcome him to Hautes Etudes and conduct his doctoral research, starting with the memoir of in-depth studies, with the beginning of the academic year 1991-1992. I think it is essential that Mr. Marius Ghica, a Romanian researcher who is preparing a DEA (Diploma of advanced studies) and a thesis with me, can extend for a few months the free research he has already undertaken in order to engage, starting from the next academic year, in the preparation of the DEA, then the doctoral studies. Mr. Ghica is a researcher of exceptional quality. His publications in Romania and especially his translations of Valéry, which he has already partially published, are of the first magnitude. His thesis project on L’homme poïétique au monde de Thot. Etude sur quelques discours des sciences humaines aux carrefours du langage is already very elaborate and particularly promising. Here, we are talking about an ambitious interpretation of linguistics, grammar and hermeneutics, in general the relations between language, writing, techno-science, but also between poetry and philosophy. The candidate's culture is immense, and his demands are among the most profound. It is about a researcher for whom we have the greatest interest to help him today, in our country, by giving him the opportunity to continue studying in France. [...] It is a chance, for me, to see Khôra translated into Romanian, an even greater chance to know it translated through the efforts of Marius Ghica: I already owe a lot to his careful reading. But how can you declare a debt and how can you greet friends with such a text precisely where it seems to free itself from all debt and debt? This is perhaps the question I could offer, I said to myself, as a greeting to my Romanian friends. Jacques DERRIDA
