IMAGINARUL

Jean-Jacques Wunenburger is professor emeritus of the "Jean Moulin" University, Lyon 3, founder of the "Gaston Bachelard" Center at the University of Bourgogne in Dijon, the initiator of several imaginary research centers in Europe, America and Asia, president of the "Association of Friends of Gilbert Durand", of the "Gaston Bachelard International Association" and of the "International Research Centers of the Imaginary" - CRI2i. He is also an honorary doctor of the University of Bucharest and the University of Craiova. His works, translated into several languages, eight published in Romanian, today recommend him as one of those postmodern philosophers who, along the lines of the founding fathers of the notion of the imaginary (Gaston Bachelard, Gilbert Durand, Henry Corbin and Mircea Eliade), open a new perspective in the understanding of figurative thinking. A true work of synthesis, Imaginarul is one of the author's eight books translated into Romanian and deals with the concept of the imaginary and its relationship with the idea of ​​rationality from an integrative, interdisciplinary perspective. The book is addressed equally to researchers, teachers, students, as well as to all those interested in the dynamics of transformations of the imaginary in contemporary culture.
