About this book
Signaling the "structural, indestructible unity" of the volume Joc secund and the "thirst for completeness" with origins in the "cult of mathematicians", Basarab Nicolescu formulates the hypothesis of the construction of poems by analogy with the construction of theorems, a process that should not be understood "vulgarly, as an imposition of univocity on a realm that is, by definition, ambiguous", but as a synthesis of intellect and sensitivity. The automorphism of the lyrical/axiomatic universe thus described is supported, at the content level, by a ternary symbolism - the Myth of the Mirror, the Myth of the Wedding and the Myth of the Sun - which "constitutes the "aura" of all poems, the ineffable but intelligible song of the "Second Game"." Revealing the corresponding chroma - Blue, Green, Yellow -, obtained, in turn, through the mystery of "exhaustion", these myths (do not exhaust, but) potentiate their signifying force: the auspicious luxuriance of the colors of the mind increases the valences of the affect, just as the game of the world acquires its purity, through mirroring, in the redeemed waters of the spirit.
