Orchestra simfonică. Mituri şi realitate

Ivan Iliev's courage to lift the veil over the symphony orchestra to look not only beyond the hidden aspects of everyday life, but also to understand the reason for some camouflage behaviors, deserves to be saluted. Iliev himself has a commendable practical experience as a conductor of orchestras from different countries, of different rank, professional status and organizational culture. This is a necessary preliminary condition that facilitated the author to open a broad perspective on the observation of phenomena specific to his field of activity and the understanding of their causality. And in no way did his subjective experience negatively influence the accuracy of his analysis of the subject under his attention. In this sense, we could hardly suspect him of the unidirectional orientation of his observations. The book is addressed both to informed readers, sensitively intellectually attached to the subject of intimate knowledge of musical formations, and to those who simply wish to understand the structure and functioning of human society, as reflected in the details of specific professional microgroups.
