The characters of Cornel Mihai Ungureanu's plays, whether they are elderly people imprisoned in an asylum, with their habits, senility and their desire to escape, mature people who fight the apathy of a life affected by illness and loneliness or young people who are looking for a way out of the labyrinth of their own mind - a kind of prison for the wearer - have the same nostalgia: love. Everyone remembers the temple made of "blue shards", which they recreated with great care in childhood, or the cardboard clock with tongues that messed up the hours - all these games were proof of life and of a certain happiness that fades with maturity.
