Magda Buce-Răduţ is a graduate of the Institute of Fine Arts "Nicolae Grigorescu" in Bucharest, Museology section. She is a member of the National Commission for Artistic Education of the Ministry of Education, Research and Youth and an associate lecturer at the Department of Art History in higher education. Following closely the changes of the architectural landscape of the place depending on time, the author pretexts a presentation of the society around the architectural landmarks and the monuments of national heritage. The way in which the Romanian society integrated itself into the space of European culture and civilization was followed, the way in which it influenced social life, specifically associating traditional and modern values, those from outside the country with the internal specifics. One of the fundamental ideas of the book is the fact that the author tried to follow the way in which the Romanian values imposed themselves in the European civilization. The book is endorsed by the historian Dinu C. Giurescu, through the preface he signs and in which he affirms his support for the innovative idea of Magda Buce-Răduţ.
