Etica medicală în practica pediatrică

The present work is a deepening of the first attempt to approach this issue, in 2003. As a result, the present material is the result of a research over several years, and in the last three years the information has been updated, developed, deepened and systematized for the compilation of an exhaustive and professional ethical guide. He collaborated in the creation of this work for the documentary material and the information received with professor Ettore Rossi from Bern, professor Pierre Royer from Paris, as well as professor Edwin N. Forman, specialist in pediatrics and hematology-oncology from Brown University in Rhode Island Hospital – Providence, USA, Dr. Richard H. Nicholson from London. I also mention the remarkable book written by Sebastian Nicolau, which presents the basic principles of bioethics in medicine. The book is titled Medical Bioethics, and it appeared in 2003. This book is written by a pediatrician for pediatricians. The vastness of the field of pediatrics and the problems related to the protection of children's health explains the impossibility of presenting, in this book, all aspects of medical ethics that are encountered in pediatric practice. The wish of the authors is that the problems presented stimulate topics of reflection for pediatricians and for all those who are engaged in the care, treatment and protection of children's health. This book is useful for the work of pediatric colleagues in the difficult moments and in the ethical problems they face or may face in their pediatric practice.
