Farmacognozie generală

The volume includes the general notions necessary to organize the harvesting, drying and preservation of medicinal plants, as well as monographs devoted to each species separately, in which the plant is described, its distribution is characterized, the method of harvesting and drying is indicated, the plant product used for therapeutic purposes is described and - if necessary - useful observations are made regarding the similar species that can be confused with, the precautionary measures - when it comes to toxic plants, etc. The pharmacological properties of the presented plants are also indicated, along with the chemical structures of the most important (quantitatively) compounds present in the plant product. The work "General Pharmacognosy" will be useful, first of all, to students of post-secondary health schools with a pharmaceutical profile, but also to students of the faculties of pharmacy, medicine, biology and agronomy.
